Will I still have access to Temporal Cloud after I cancel?

Access is lost once Temporal completes the off-boarding process after you delete your account. There is no defined grace period — deletion is effective immediately upon confirmation.

Will I receive a refund for the current billing period?

Temporal does not publicly document a pro-rated refund policy. Billing stops immediately upon account deletion, but past charges are not automatically refunded. Contact ar@temporal.io to inquire about any partial refund.

What happens to my data after cancellation?

Active storage is deleted immediately. Full account data deletion (including retained storage) is completed within 72 hours. Deleted data cannot be restored.

Can I reactivate my account after canceling?

Yes, but you must sign up from scratch. Temporal does not restore deleted accounts or their data — reactivation starts a brand new account.

What if I only want to cancel one namespace, not my entire account?

Go to Namespaces in the left sidebar, select the namespace, click Edit, then click 'Delete Namespace' in the upper right. Type DELETE in the confirmation field and click Delete. Your account and other namespaces remain active.

What if I have an Enterprise or Mission Critical plan?

Enterprise and Mission Critical plans are annual contracts managed through Temporal's sales team. There is no self-serve cancellation — you must submit a support ticket at support.temporal.io or contact your account representative.

Log in to Temporal Cloud

Go to https://cloud.temporal.io and sign in with your account credentials.

Open Billing

Click 'Billing' in the left sidebar, or navigate directly to https://cloud.temporal.io/billing.

Go to the Plans tab

Inside the Billing page, click the 'Plans' tab at the top.

Find the account deletion section

Scroll to the bottom of the Plans tab until you see the section labeled 'No longer using Temporal Cloud?'

Click Delete Account

Click the 'Delete Account' button. A confirmation dialog will appear warning you that account data is permanently deleted and cannot be restored.

Confirm deletion

Confirm the deletion in the dialog. Billing stops immediately and all account data is scheduled for permanent deletion within 72 hours.
