1

Understand what you're canceling

MLflow (mlflow.org) is 100% open-source and free — there is no MLflow subscription to cancel. If you are using Databricks Managed MLflow, you need to cancel your Databricks platform subscription. The cancellation process varies by cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure).

2

Back up your data

Before canceling, export all notebooks and data you want to keep. Also terminate all compute resources in all workspaces and delete all Unity Catalog metastores in your account, as cancellation immediately removes access to everything.

3

Log in to Databricks Account Console

Go to accounts.azuredatabricks.net (Azure), accounts.cloud.databricks.com (AWS), or accounts.gcp.databricks.com (GCP) and sign in as an account administrator.

4

Navigate to Settings (AWS) or Marketplace (GCP)

AWS: In the left sidebar click 'Settings', then click the 'Manage your plan' dropdown and select 'Cancel plan'. GCP: Go to the Databricks listing on Google Cloud Marketplace, click 'MANAGE ORDERS', find your subscription row, click the three-dot kebab menu, and select 'Cancel purchase'. Azure: Cancellation must be done through the Azure portal (portal.azure.com) by canceling the Azure subscription itself — there is no Databricks-side cancel button.

5

Confirm cancellation in dialog

A confirmation dialog will appear warning that cancellation is permanent. Click 'Cancel plan' (AWS) or confirm the cancellation (GCP) to proceed. On AWS, the warning reads: 'Cancelling your Databricks plan is permanent and terminates your relationship with Databricks. You cannot reactivate a cancelled Databricks plan.'

6

Contact support if on enterprise contract or Azure

If you signed an enterprise contract with Databricks, self-serve cancellation is not available — contact your Databricks account team directly. For Azure, cancel the Azure subscription via portal.azure.com under 'Subscriptions' > your subscription > 'Cancel subscription'.
