Do I lose access immediately when I cancel?

No. You retain full access to Sunsama through the end of your current billing period. Cancelling simply stops the auto-renewal.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

Sunsama's Terms of Service state all purchases are final and no refunds will be provided. Some users have reported receiving a prorated credit (not a cash refund) for unused time on a monthly plan. For annual plans, contact support directly to discuss options.

What happens to my data after I cancel?

Your data is retained for 30 days after your subscription ends, then permanently deleted. You can export your data before deletion via Account Settings as CSV or JSON (includes tasks, notes, subtasks, planned times, and more).

Can I reactivate my subscription later?

Yes. Log back in and re-enter your payment information to reactivate. If you do so within the 30-day grace period before data deletion, your workspace and data will be restored.

Who can cancel the subscription?

Only the workspace owner or an admin can cancel. Regular workspace members do not have access to Billing settings and cannot cancel on behalf of the workspace.

What if I subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play?

You must cancel through the store you subscribed with, not through the Sunsama app. On iPhone: Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Sunsama → Cancel Subscription. On Android: Google Play → profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Sunsama → Cancel subscription.

Log in to the web app

Go to app.sunsama.com and log in to your account. Note: you must be the workspace owner or admin to cancel — regular members cannot access billing settings.

Open the Sunsama menu

Click the 'Sunsama' dropdown in the top-left corner of the app interface.

Go to Settings

Select 'Settings' from the dropdown menu.

Open Billing

In the settings sidebar, click 'Billing'.

Click 'Manage Billing'

Click the 'Manage Billing' button. This opens the Stripe customer portal in a new window or tab.

Select the cancellation option

In the Stripe portal, locate your subscription and select the option to cancel it.

Choose a cancellation reason

Sunsama will ask you to select a reason for cancelling. Pick the most relevant option from the list shown.

Confirm cancellation

Click the 'Cancel Subscription' button that appears immediately after selecting a reason. Your subscription is now cancelled and you retain access until the end of the current billing period.
