Choose your cancellation method

9mobile offers multiple ways to cancel data plan auto-renewal: USSD code (fastest), SMS, the My9mobile self-care portal, or by calling customer care on 300. The USSD and SMS methods work directly from your 9mobile SIM.

2

Dial *229*0# (USSD method — recommended)

Open your phone dialer and dial *229*0# then press the call/send button. A USSD menu will appear on screen. Select the option to 'Stop Auto-Renewal' or 'Opt Out' from the menu options presented.

3

Confirm cancellation on the USSD menu

Read the menu options carefully and select the number corresponding to stopping auto-renewal. Press Send to confirm. You will receive a confirmation SMS from 9mobile stating that auto-renewal has been disabled.

4

Alternative — Send SMS 'STOP' to 229

If the USSD menu is unavailable, open your SMS app, type the word STOP (all caps) and send it to 229. You will receive a reply SMS confirming that auto-renewal has been turned off for your current data plan.

5

Alternative — Cancel via My9mobile self-care portal

Visit my.9mobile.com.ng and log in with your phone number and password. Navigate to 'My Services' or 'Data Plans', find your active plan, and select 'Cancel Auto-Renewal' or 'Deactivate'. Confirm when prompted.

6

Verify cancellation

After completing cancellation, you should receive a confirmation SMS from 9mobile. You can also dial *200# or call 300 to check your active subscriptions and confirm no auto-renewal services remain active.
