Will I lose access to premium features immediately after cancelling?

No. Your Hinge premium features (unlimited likes, seeing who liked you, advanced filters) remain active until the end of your current billing period. After that your account automatically reverts to the free tier.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

If you paid directly through Hinge (Stripe), you can request a refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing hello@hinge.co. Residents of certain US states (including California, New York, and others) may qualify for a refund within 3 business days. If you subscribed via Apple App Store, Hinge cannot issue refunds — you must request one through Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. For Google Play, use Google's own refund process. No prorated refunds are given for mid-cycle cancellations.

What happens if I just delete the Hinge app?

Nothing — deleting the app does not cancel your subscription. You will continue to be billed. You must cancel through Apple Settings, Google Play, or the Hinge app (for direct subscribers) as described above.

Can I reactivate my subscription after cancelling?

Yes. You can resubscribe at any time with no waiting period or penalty. Simply open Hinge and purchase a new subscription. If you only cancelled and did not delete your account, all your matches and conversations will still be there.

Does cancelling my subscription delete my account and data?

No. Cancelling the subscription only stops future billing — your profile, matches, and conversations remain intact. To permanently delete your account and data, open Hinge, tap the gear icon, scroll to the bottom and tap 'Delete Account' or 'Delete or Pause Account', then confirm. This is irreversible and cannot be undone.

What if I miss the cancellation deadline before renewal?

If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before your renewal date, you will be charged for another full billing cycle. Apple, Google, and Stripe all enforce this deadline and Hinge cannot override it. Determine how you subscribed

Before cancelling, check how you originally subscribed. Open the Hinge app, tap your profile photo (bottom-right), then tap the gear icon (Settings). If you see 'Manage subscription' or 'Cancel subscription' under your subscription details, you subscribed via Stripe (direct). If not, you subscribed via Apple App Store or Google Play — cancel through those platforms instead (see steps below).

iOS: Open iPhone Settings

If you subscribed via iPhone, go to the Apple Settings app (not Hinge). Tap your name at the very top (your Apple ID).

iOS: Tap Subscriptions → Hinge → Cancel Subscription

Tap 'Subscriptions', scroll to find 'Hinge' in the list, tap it, then tap 'Cancel Subscription' at the bottom of the screen. Tap 'Confirm' in the pop-up. If there is no 'Cancel Subscription' button, the subscription is already cancelled.

Android: Open Google Play Store

If you subscribed via Android, open the Google Play Store app. Tap your profile icon in the top-right corner, then tap 'Payments & subscriptions' → 'Subscriptions'.

Android: Find Hinge and cancel

Tap 'Hinge' in the subscriptions list, then tap 'Cancel subscription'. Follow the on-screen prompts (Google may ask for a cancellation reason) and confirm.

Direct/Stripe: Cancel inside the Hinge app
