from €5.99/month
Go to your Spotify account page
Open a browser and navigate to spotify.com/account. Make sure you are logged in with the account that has Premium.
Locate 'Your plan' section
Scroll down on the Account Overview page until you see the 'Your plan' section, which shows your current Premium plan and billing details.
Click 'CHANGE PLAN'
Click the 'CHANGE PLAN' button displayed under your current plan name in the 'Your plan' section.
Scroll to Spotify Free
On the plan selection page, scroll all the way down past all the paid plan options until you reach the 'Spotify Free' tier at the bottom.
Click 'CANCEL PREMIUM'
Click the 'CANCEL PREMIUM' button next to the Spotify Free option. Spotify may present a retention screen here offering a discounted rate or the option to pause your subscription for 1–3 months instead of cancelling — click through to continue cancelling.
Confirm cancellation
Follow the remaining confirmation prompts. Spotify may show emotional messaging (e.g. 'You'll lose your Premium features') to discourage cancellation. Click 'CONTINUE TO CANCEL' or 'CONFIRM CANCELLATION' to finalize.
Check confirmation message
Your account page will now display the date your plan changes to Spotify Free. You will keep Premium access and features until that date.
