Will I lose access immediately after canceling?

Yes. Canceling a Pingdom subscription immediately removes access to the product for your entire organization and all its users. Make sure to export any data you need before confirming cancellation.

Can I get a refund after canceling?

If you cancel within 30 days of signing up, you will not be charged. After that, you are responsible for any charges already incurred. Pingdom does not offer prorated refunds for the remainder of a billing period.

What happens to my monitoring data after cancellation?

Data is retained according to SolarWinds' internal data retention and destruction schedule. Under GDPR, customers can request earlier data purging by contacting Pingdom support at support@pingdom.com.

Can I reactivate my Pingdom account after canceling?

Yes, you can reactivate by signing up for a new subscription at my.pingdom.com. However, historical monitoring data from your previous subscription may not be recoverable depending on how long ago the account was canceled.

What if I only want to cancel for one user, not the whole organization?

You do not need to cancel the subscription to remove a single user. Instead, revoke that user's access via User Management in Organisation Settings. Canceling the subscription affects the entire organization.

Do I need to cancel a trial subscription manually?

No. Trial subscriptions automatically deactivate when they expire and no action is required. If you want to delete your account during a trial, go to Pingdom Preferences and click 'Delete account'.

Log in to Pingdom

Go to my.pingdom.com and sign in with your account credentials. You must be logged in as an Owner or Administrator — only these roles can cancel a subscription.

Open Account Settings

Click your profile/account icon in the top-right corner of the Pingdom dashboard, then select 'Organisation Settings' from the dropdown menu.

Navigate to Subscriptions

In the left-hand settings menu, click 'Subscription' (or navigate directly to https://my.pingdom.com/app/3/account/subscription) to open the Subscriptions page.

Find the Current Subscription pane

On the Subscriptions page, locate the 'Current subscription' section which shows your active plan details and billing cycle.

Click 'Cancel subscription'

Within the 'Current subscription' pane, click the 'Cancel subscription' button. A confirmation prompt will appear warning that canceling removes access to Pingdom for your entire organization.

Confirm cancellation

Review the warning that all users in your organization will lose access to Pingdom immediately upon cancellation. Confirm the cancellation to finalize. The confirmation page is at https://my.pingdom.com/account/cancel/confirm.
