Do I lose access immediately after cancelling?

Yes. Access is terminated immediately upon clicking 'Cancel my Account.' There is no grace period or cooldown.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

No. PagerDuty's Terms of Service state subscriptions are non-refundable. Annual plan customers do not receive prorated refunds for the remaining term. The only exception is if PagerDuty materially breaches the contract and fails to cure within 30 days.

Can I reactivate my account after cancelling?

No. PagerDuty explicitly states cancellation is not reversible and cancelled accounts cannot be reactivated or recovered. You would need to create a brand new account.

What happens to my data when I cancel?

All account data is permanently deleted immediately upon cancellation. This includes all incidents, services, integrations, and user data — it cannot be recovered.

How do I stop my annual plan from auto-renewing?

Send written notice to renewals@pagerduty.com at least 30 days before your renewal date to prevent automatic renewal.

What if I'm on an Enterprise plan?

Log in as Account Owner

Sign in to PagerDuty at app.pagerduty.com using Account Owner credentials. Note: only the Account Owner role can cancel — Admins cannot perform this action.

Open Account Settings

Click your user avatar/profile icon in the top-right corner, then select 'Account Settings' from the dropdown menu.

Go to Account Settings tab

On the Account Settings page, click the 'Account Settings' tab to ensure you are on the correct section.

Find the cancellation link

Scroll to the very bottom of the Account Settings page. Look for the link labeled 'Need to cancel your account?' — it is intentionally placed at the bottom of the page.

Click the cancellation link

Click the 'Need to cancel your account?' link. A warning screen will appear describing the consequences of cancellation, including immediate loss of access and permanent data deletion.

Confirm cancellation

Review the cancellation warning carefully, then click the 'Cancel my Account' button to confirm. The account is terminated immediately upon clicking this button.
