Can I still access my account after requesting cancellation?

Yes. For monthly plans, access continues through the end of the current billing month. For annual plans, access continues until the end of the contracted term. Campaign Monitor does not prorate or cut off access early.

Will I get a refund when I cancel?

No. Campaign Monitor's policy states that 'payment obligations are non-cancelable and fees paid are non-refundable.' This applies to both monthly and annual plans. The only exception is if Campaign Monitor terminates your account due to an IP infringement issue they caused, in which case a pro-rata refund of prepaid fees may be issued.

What happens to my data (lists, campaigns, templates) after I close my account?

Campaign Monitor may permanently delete all your account content — including subscriber lists, campaigns, and templates — within 30 days of account closure. Export any data you need before submitting your closure request. Additionally, accounts inactive for over one year may be automatically deleted.

Can I reactivate my account after closing it?

Reactivation after full closure may not be possible if your data has been deleted. Contact Campaign Monitor support as soon as possible if you change your mind. If you only want to pause spending, switching to the free 'pay per campaign' plan is a reversible alternative that preserves your data.

Yes. Campaign Monitor offers a 'pay per campaign' billing model with no monthly fee — you only pay when you send. You can switch to this from your billing settings to stop recurring charges without losing your lists, templates, or account history.

What if I have an annual plan — do I need to give notice in advance?

Yes. Annual plan customers must submit notice of non-renewal at least 30 days before the end of their Order Term. Failing to do so results in automatic renewal for another full year at the contracted rate, with no refund.

Log in to Campaign Monitor

Go to app.createsend.com and sign in with your Campaign Monitor credentials.

Open Account Settings

Click on your account name or avatar in the top-right corner of the dashboard, then select 'Account Settings' from the dropdown menu.

Navigate to Billing

Within Account Settings, locate and click the 'Billing' section to view your current plan and payment details.

Initiate account closure

Scroll to the bottom of the Billing page and click 'Close Account'. If no self-service button is visible, go to help.campaignmonitor.com/close-your-account and follow the link to submit a closure request to Campaign Monitor support.

Submit closure request to support

Complete the support form specifying your account details and reason for closing. Campaign Monitor confirms cancellation by email. Note: simply uninstalling or stopping use does NOT cancel your subscription — you must complete this step.

Confirm cancellation email

Wait for a confirmation email from Campaign Monitor acknowledging that your account closure request has been processed. Keep this for your records.
