1

Export your data

Before canceling, back up any data you need. Timescale explicitly states: 'Customer is solely responsible for exporting Customer Data from the Cloud Service prior to expiration or termination.' Once a service is deleted, data cannot be recovered.

2

Log in to Timescale Cloud Console

Go to https://console.cloud.timescale.com and sign in to your account.

3

Select the service to delete

From your dashboard, click on the service you want to cancel. If you have multiple services, you must repeat this process for each one — charges continue for all active standard services even if unused.

4

Navigate to the Operations tab

Inside the service detail view, click the 'Operations' tab at the top of the page.

5

Find the Service management section and click Delete

Scroll to the 'Service management' section. Here you can fork, reset password, pause, or delete the service. Click the 'Delete' button. Note: if the service is marked as a Production environment, it has delete protection enabled — you must first change the environment to 'Development' before the Delete button becomes available.

6

Confirm deletion by typing the service ID

A confirmation dialog appears: 'Are you sure you want to delete service <service_id>? This operation cannot be undone.' You must type the service ID to confirm, then click the final delete/confirm button. After acceptance you will see: 'Delete request accepted for service <service_id>' followed by 'Service <service_id> has been successfully deleted.'

7

Repeat for all services, then close account if desired

Deleting all services stops compute and storage billing, but does not close your account. To fully terminate your account, send a written notice of termination to legal@tigerdata.com (Timescale rebranded to TigerData). The termination of services does not automatically terminate your account.
