Review your contract terms
Check your original contract for the permanence period (typically 24 months from installation date) and identify your contract end date. Note any early termination penalties that apply if you are still within the commitment period. Also locate your alarm system's security password (clave de seguridad), which will be required when contacting customer service.
Prepare your cancellation request
Gather the following information before contacting Prosegur: account holder's full name, national ID number (DNI/NIE/NIF), contract number or customer ID, service address, alarm system security password, and your desired cancellation date (must be at least 30 days in the future).
Contact Prosegur customer service
Call the free customer service number 900 112 365 (Spain) and select the 'Bajas' (cancellations) option from the phone menu. Alternatively, send a cancellation request by email to gestiondeclientes@movistarproseguralarmas.com. For strongest legal protection, send a certified letter (burofax) to create a paper trail. Cancellation cannot be completed via the online customer area or mobile app.
Formally communicate cancellation and provide personal data
Clearly state your intent to cancel ('quiero dar de baja mi servicio de alarma'). Provide the agent with: your full name, DNI/NIE, contract number, service address, and the alarm system's security password. Confirm your requested cancellation date, which must be at least 30 days from the date of this contact.
Obtain written confirmation
Request a written confirmation of your cancellation request via email (confirmación de solicitud de baja). Note the reference or ticket number provided by the agent. If cancelling by phone, ask for the cancellation to be confirmed in writing to your registered email address.
Return alarm equipment
Once cancellation is confirmed, you have 30 days to return all alarm equipment (sensors, control panel, siren, etc.) to Prosegur. Coordinate with the company for a technician visit to uninstall and collect the equipment. Failure to return equipment may result in additional charges.
Verify service termination and final billing
After the 30-day notice period expires, confirm that monitoring has stopped and check your final invoice. If you cancelled within the 24-month permanence period, review the early termination penalty charged. Ensure no further direct debits are taken from your bank account after the confirmed termination date.
