1

Log in to your RouteNote account

Go to routenote.com and sign in with your email and password.

2

Navigate to Discography

Hover over the 'Distribution' menu in the top navigation bar and select 'Discography' from the dropdown.

3

Open the Approved tab

On the Discography page, click the 'Approved' tab to view your live, distributed releases.

4

Click the green 'Premium' button

Find the release you want to downgrade and click the green button labeled 'Premium' next to it. This immediately initiates the downgrade of that release from Premium to the Free plan.

5

Confirm downgrade and check refund eligibility

If you are within 30 days of purchase, the downgrade automatically sends a refund request to the RouteNote Support team. No separate refund form is needed.

6

(Optional) Close your entire account via Google Form

If you want to close your full RouteNote account (not just downgrade a release), visit the support article at support.routenote.com/kb-article/how-can-i-close-my-routenote-account/ and submit the linked Google Form. You must authenticate with a Google account to submit. Choose either: 'Wait for final sales report' (earnings paid 45 days after closure month) or 'Immediate closure' (current outstanding earnings paid now, future earnings forfeited).

7

Ensure a payment method is linked for earnings

Before completing account closure, confirm you have a registered payment method (bank transfer, Payoneer, or PayPal) so RouteNote can send any outstanding earnings.
