When does my plan actually end after I cancel?

Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period (your anniversary renewal date). You retain your paid plan features until that date.

Will I get a refund after cancelling?

No. Abode does not offer pro-rated refunds for partial months or years. You will not be reimbursed for unused time in your current billing period.

What happens to my system and account after cancellation?

Your account reverts to the free 'No Plan' tier. Basic features like live video viewing, self-monitoring, and push notifications still work. However, video storage, timeline history, automations, and geofences become inactive (they are saved but disabled until you resubscribe).

Can I reactivate my plan after cancelling?

Yes. You can resubscribe to any paid plan at any time through the same 'Plan Details' section in the app. Your saved automations and geofences will become active again once you are on a compatible plan (Standard or Pro).

Is there a cancellation fee?

Abode charges a $35 cancellation fee on returned plans (applicable when hardware is being returned as part of a bundle). Standard monthly or annual subscription cancellations without hardware returns should not incur this fee — contact support@goabode.com to confirm your specific situation.

How do I delete my Abode account entirely?

You can delete your account from within the app, or contact the Abode support team via Live Chat on their website or by emailing support@goabode.com.

Open the Abode App

Launch the Abode app on your iOS or Android device. Note: if your subscription was purchased through Apple or Google Play, you must cancel through those platforms instead (see steps below for those paths).

Open the Menu

Tap the Menu icon (≡) in the top-left corner of the app to open the navigation drawer.

Go to your Profile

Tap your name at the top of the menu to open your Profile page.

Tap 'Plan Details'

On your Profile page, tap 'Plan Details' to open the plans management screen.

Select 'Cancel Plan'

On the plans management page, choose the option to cancel or downgrade your current plan. Confirm when prompted.

Alternative – Apple billing: cancel via iOS Settings

If billed through Apple: open the iOS Settings app → tap your name → tap 'Subscriptions' → select Abode → tap 'Cancel Subscription' and confirm.

Alternative – Google billing: cancel via Google Play
