Can I still listen to music I downloaded after cancelling?

No. Apple Music downloads are DRM-protected and require an active subscription to play. Once your subscription expires at the end of the billing period, all streamed/downloaded Apple Music tracks become unplayable and are greyed out.

Will I get a refund for the remaining days in my billing period?

Apple does not issue pro-rata refunds automatically. You retain access to Apple Music until the end of your current billing period. You can request a case-by-case refund at reportaproblem.apple.com — accidental charges or EU consumer rights cases have the best chance of approval.

Will my playlists still be there if I resubscribe?

How do I cancel if my subscription is through my carrier (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile)?

Open Settings on iPhone/iPad

On your iPhone or iPad, open the Settings app (grey gear icon). At the very top, tap your name to access your Apple ID settings.

Tap Subscriptions

Scroll down and tap 'Subscriptions' to see all active and expired subscriptions linked to your Apple ID.

Select Apple Music

In the list of subscriptions, tap 'Apple Music' to open its subscription management page.

Tap Cancel Subscription

Scroll to the bottom of the page and tap 'Cancel Subscription' (shown in red). If you see 'Cancel Free Trial', tap that instead.

Confirm cancellation

A confirmation dialog appears. Tap 'Confirm' to finalize the cancellation. You will receive a confirmation email and the subscription status will change to 'Expires on [Date]'.
