1

Identify active subscriptions via USSD

Dial *121# on your Airtel Nigeria SIM. From the menu that appears, select the option labelled 'Manage My Account' or 'Stop Services' (option number may vary by menu version). This lists all active data bundles and value-added services (VAS) on your line.

2

Select 'My Subscriptions' or 'Opt-Out'

After selecting Manage My Account, choose 'My Subscriptions' or 'Opt-Out from Services' from the sub-menu. A list of your current active subscriptions will appear on screen.

3

Choose the subscription to cancel

Reply with the number corresponding to the subscription you want to deactivate (e.g. enter '1' for the first item). Confirm the cancellation when prompted by replying '1' for Yes or '2' for No.

4

Cancel auto-renewal via *312# (data bundles)

To specifically stop auto-renewal on a data bundle, dial *312# and follow the menu prompts. Alternatively, use the shortcut format *312*[amount]*1# (e.g. *312*1000*1# for a ₦1,000 plan) to cancel auto-renewal for that specific plan directly.

5

Cancel VAS subscriptions via SMS

For value-added services (news alerts, music, ringtones, etc.), open your Messages app and send STOP [SERVICE CODE] to 2442 — for example, send 'STOP NEWS' to 2442 to cancel a news subscription. To cancel all auto-renewals broadly, send 'STOP' to 141 or to 312.

6

Confirm cancellation

You will receive an SMS from Airtel Nigeria confirming that the selected service has been deactivated. If no confirmation arrives within a few minutes, repeat the USSD or SMS step or call customer care at 111 to verify.

7

Alternative: Cancel via My Airtel App

Download the 'My Airtel' app (Google Play Store or Apple App Store), log in with your Airtel number and enter the OTP sent to your line. Go to the 'Manage Services' or 'My Subscriptions' tab, locate the active subscription, and tap 'Deactivate' or 'Stop Auto Renewal'. You will receive a push notification confirming the cancellation.
