Will I lose my files after canceling?

No. All your existing files and content are permanently retained when you cancel. Your workspace downgrades to the Free plan, but nothing is deleted.

What happens to my workspace after cancellation?

Your workspace automatically downgrades to the Free plan, which includes 3 team boards, unlimited members, 10 guest seats, 100 AI actions per editor, 7-day version history, and a 5MB file upload limit.

Can I get a refund after canceling?

Whimsical does not issue automatic refunds. Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis at Whimsical's discretion. You retain access to all paid features until the end of your current billing cycle. Contact support to request a refund.

Will I receive any additional charges after canceling?

Possibly. If you added new editors during your current billing period and cancel before the next invoice, you may receive one final invoice — at the end of the subscription for monthly plans, or one month after cancellation for annual plans.

Can I reactivate my subscription after canceling?

Yes. You can restart your subscription at any time. All your files and workspace data will be immediately accessible again.

Is canceling my subscription the same as deleting my account?

No. Canceling downgrades you to the Free plan while keeping your account and all data intact. Deleting your account is permanent and irreversible. Export your content before deleting an account.

Open workspace menu

Click your workspace name in the top-left corner of the Whimsical interface to open the workspace dropdown menu.

Go to Subscription settings

Select 'Subscription' from the dropdown menu. Note: you must be a workspace administrator to access this option.

Scroll to cancellation section

On the Subscription page, scroll down to the bottom to find the cancellation option.

Click 'Cancel subscription'

Click the 'Cancel subscription' button at the bottom of the Subscription page and confirm the cancellation when prompted.
