Go to nytimes.com and click 'Log In' in the top-right corner. Enter your credentials.
After logging in, click your account name or email at the top right and select 'Account' to open your account management page.
On the Account page, click 'Subscriptions' on the left sidebar or under the account menu to see all your NYT subscriptions.
Find the subscription you want to cancel and click 'Cancel Subscription'. Note: the NYT often makes this button hard to find or routes you through multiple retention screens.
The NYT will present several offers (discounts, pauses) before allowing you to cancel. Continue clicking to decline these offers. Confirm your final cancellation and note the confirmation number.
We appreciate your loyalty to The New York Times and the role quality journalism plays in your life. Before we complete your cancellation, we want to make sure you have all the options available to you. We can offer you a significant discount on your subscription for the next year β many of our departing subscribers are surprised by how affordable we can make it. Alternatively, we can pause your subscription for up to 3 months so you don't lose your account. Independent journalism depends on readers like you. What would make it worth staying?
