Log in to Questrade
Go to questrade.com and log in to your account using your credentials.

Cancel Questrade Edge (if applicable)
If you have a Questrade Edge Pro subscription, go to 'My Account' β 'Settings' β 'Subscriptions' and cancel your Edge subscription.

Sell or Transfer Your Investments
To close the account, sell all your holdings or initiate an account transfer (RRSP, TFSA, non-registered) to another Canadian broker via the standard transfer process.

Withdraw Your Cash Balance
After selling your holdings, go to 'My Account' β 'Withdraw Funds' and transfer the balance to your Canadian bank account.

Submit Account Closure Request
Contact Questrade support via live chat or phone (1-888-783-7866) to request account closure. There is no self-serve account closure option β you must contact support directly.

If you have a TFSA or RRSP, closing means losing that registered room permanently (you can't re-open it). Instead of closing, you can simply stop trading and leave the account dormant at no cost.
