1

Check your contract details

Log into 'Mein A1' at a1.net and navigate to 'Internet für zuhause' → contract details to check your remaining binding period (Mindestvertragsdauer) and earliest possible cancellation date.

2

Prepare a cancellation letter

Write a signed cancellation letter (Kündigungsschreiben) including: full name and address, customer number (Kundennummer), contract/tariff name, and desired end date ('zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt' for earliest possible termination). Sign the document.

3

Visit the cancellation page

Go to a1.net/kuendigen. A1 displays a 'Meine Angebote' (My Offers) retention section with personalized discounts before showing cancellation options — skip this and proceed to the cancellation contact options.

4

Submit cancellation via email or fax

Email your signed cancellation letter as a scanned PDF to service@a1.net, or fax to 0800 664 101 (keep the fax send confirmation as proof). Alternatively, send via registered post to: A1 Telekom Austria AG, Postfach 1001, 1011 Wien.

5

Request written confirmation

Explicitly request a written cancellation confirmation (Kündigungsbestätigung) in your letter or email. A1 should respond within 1–2 business days. Keep this confirmation for your records in case of post-cancellation billing disputes.

6

Migrate your A1 email address

If you use an @a1.net email address, set up email forwarding or migrate to a new provider immediately. A1 email addresses are permanently deleted when the contract ends — this cannot be reversed.
