How to Cancel Freshdesk (2026)

Export your data
Before canceling, go to Admin > Account > Helpdesk > Data Export and click 'Export Now' to download tickets as CSV. Also export contacts via Admin > Contacts > Export. Note: exports can take up to 10 business days to complete.
Open Admin Settings
Log in as an Account Administrator. Click the gear icon in the left navigation panel to open Admin settings. Only Account Administrators can initiate cancellation.
Navigate to Account Details
In the Admin panel, go to Account > Account Details. This section contains the account status controls.
Click 'Cancel account'
Under the Account Status section, click the 'Cancel account' button. If this option is not visible, you may need to email billing@freshworks.com with your account URL, company name, and cancellation request.
Select a cancellation reason
On the next page, select a reason for canceling your Freshdesk account from the provided options.
Submit the request
Click 'Request cancellation' and confirm in the pop-up window. Freshdesk will then reach out to you before processing the cancellation.
Await confirmation
Freshdesk will contact you to 'support you with your cancellation request' before finalizing. Once processed, your account is suspended and data is permanently deleted 14 days after your subscription end date.
