What happens to my videos and files after cancellation?

Download your content first

Before cancelling, log in to your Dacast dashboard and download or export any videos and files. Upon cancellation, your content is removed from the account and unused bandwidth is forfeited immediately.

Email support to unlock the cancellation form

Send an email to support@dacast.com with a written notice of termination and request that they 'enable the cancellation form' on your account. Do this at least 72 hours before your next renewal date to avoid being charged. Enterprise or higher-tier account holders may need to contact their account executive directly.

Wait for support to enable the form

Dacast support will manually unlock the cancellation form on your account. This is not a self-serve option — the form is hidden by default and cannot be accessed until support activates it for you.

Log in and open the cancellation form

Once support confirms the form is enabled, log in to your Dacast dashboard. Navigate to your account settings where the cancellation form will now be visible.

Complete and submit the cancellation form

Fill out the cancellation form: select your reason for cancelling, choose your desired effective date (end of current billing period or immediate termination), and enter your account password to confirm. Submit the form.

Check for confirmation email

You will receive a cancellation confirmation email once your request has been processed. Keep this for your records. If you do not receive it, follow up with support@dacast.com.
