Sign in to MongoDB Atlas
Go to cloud.mongodb.com and sign in to your account.
Go to Organization Billing
Click your organization name and navigate to 'Billing'.
Review active clusters
Identify the paid clusters you want to terminate or downgrade.
Terminate or downgrade clusters
For each paid cluster, click the three-dot menu and select 'Terminate' or downgrade to M0 (free).
Export your data
Use mongodump or the Atlas UI to export your data before terminating.
Confirm termination
Type the cluster name to confirm termination. This action is irreversible.
Retention Tips
MongoDB may remind you of your cluster data and offer a downgrade to the free M0 tier.
