Will I get a refund when I cancel?

Only if you cancel within 30 days of purchase. Within that window you can get a full cash refund (processed in ~72 hours) or immediate store credit via the Manage Order page or by emailing support@certpanel.com. After 30 days, no refund is available. Subscriptions do not offer pro-rated refunds — you simply retain access until the end of the current billing period.

Do I still have access after cancelling?

For SCM Pro and TrustConnect subscriptions, access continues through the end of your paid billing period. For CodeGuard, account deletion is immediate. Issued SSL certificates remain valid until their expiry date regardless of cancellation — certificates are not revoked when you cancel.

Can I reactivate my subscription after cancelling?

For SCM Pro, no — cancellation is explicitly irreversible. You cannot reinstate the plan, and you cannot use the same email address to create a new account. You must wait until the subscription expires and then register with a different email. Reactivation terms for other Sectigo products are not documented.

How do I turn off auto-renewal without fully cancelling?

In SCM (enterprise): open the certificate, click 'Edit', go to the 'Management' tab, expand 'Auto-Renewal', click the 'Edit' icon, disable it, then click 'Save'. For store-purchased certificates, contact Sectigo via live chat (available Monday–Friday, 24 hours) or email to disable auto-renewal.

What happens to my certificates when I cancel a subscription?

Previously issued certificates remain valid until their expiry date and are not revoked. However, under an expired subscription you cannot issue new certificates or renew existing ones. Domains from an expired subscription remain in your domains report but are no longer part of the subscription.

What if my Sectigo product was provisioned through a web host like HostGator?

You must cancel through your web host, not Sectigo directly. For HostGator-provisioned accounts, call 1-866-964-2867 (24/7) or use HostGator's live chat. HostGator offers a 45-day refund window for these purchases.

Log in to your Sectigo account

Go to your product's login portal. For SCM Pro, log in at sectigo.com. For SectigoStore/CertPanel orders, log in at certpanel.com/sectigo/account/login. For CodeGuard, log in at your CodeGuard account URL.

Navigate to Settings

For SCM Pro: click 'Settings' in the navigation menu. For CodeGuard: click 'Settings' then select 'Account'. For TrustConnect: skip to step 5 — cancellation is done by email.

Open Plan and Billing (SCM Pro) or Account page

For SCM Pro: select 'Plan and Billing' under Settings, then click the 'Overview' tab. For CodeGuard: scroll to the bottom of the Account settings page.

Locate the cancellation option

For SCM Pro: find the 'Plan Details' panel and click 'Cancel your Plan'. For CodeGuard: click 'Delete Account'. For SectigoStore/CertPanel orders: go to 'Manage Order', select your order from eligible orders, then submit a cancellation request.

Confirm the cancellation

Review the warning displayed — SCM Pro states: 'Once you cancel your subscription, you can't reinstate it. You can create a new account after your current subscription expires, but you cannot use the same email address.' Confirm to proceed.

TrustConnect: send cancellation email

If cancelling a TrustConnect subscription, email trustconnectcancel@comodo.com with your username, email address on the account, order number, and brief reason for cancellation.

Request refund if within 30 days

If within 30 days of purchase, visit sectigo.com/return-or-exchange or email support@certpanel.com to request a refund. Refunds are issued within ~72 hours or as immediate store credit. After 30 days, no refund is available.
