Do I still have access after cancelling?

Yes, access continues through the end of the current billing period. For pay-as-you-go plans billed monthly in arrears, the account deactivates at the end of the current cycle.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

There is no public refund policy for monthly/PAYG plans — billing simply stops after the current cycle with no further charges. For annual contracts, refund eligibility is governed by your individual Master Subscription Agreement; contact your account manager for details.

What happens to my data when I cancel?

Fivetran does not store your source data — it only moves data between systems. Data already in your destination (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery) is unaffected. However, your Fivetran configuration (connector settings, schemas, transformations) will be lost if the account is deleted. Consider downgrading to the free plan instead to preserve your configuration.

Can I reactivate my account after cancelling?

Yes. You can log back in and re-subscribe at any time. Alternatively, downgrading to the free plan (which requires no credit card) keeps your account active and preserves configuration without ongoing charges.

How do I cancel if I subscribed through AWS or Google Cloud Marketplace?

If Fivetran was purchased via a cloud marketplace, the 'Cancel plan' button in your dashboard is replaced by 'Visit marketplace'. You must cancel the subscription directly through the marketplace (AWS Marketplace or Google Cloud Marketplace) where you originally purchased it.

How do I cancel an annual contract?

Annual contracts cannot be cancelled through the self-service dashboard. You must contact your Fivetran account manager directly before your renewal date. Annual plans auto-renew by default, so proactive notice is required to avoid being charged for another year.

Log in to Fivetran

Go to https://fivetran.com/login and sign in with your account credentials. You must have the Account Administrator or Account Billing role to manage billing.

Open Account Settings

Click your profile icon or gear icon in the top-right corner of the dashboard and select 'Account Settings' from the dropdown menu.

Navigate to the Billing tab

Inside Account Settings, click the 'Billing' tab to open the billing details page.

Click 'Manage plan'

Under the 'Billing details' section, click the 'Manage plan' button. This opens the plan comparison page. Note: if you subscribed through AWS Marketplace, Google Cloud Marketplace, or another partner, this button will instead say 'Visit marketplace' — you must cancel through the marketplace directly.

Click 'Cancel plan'

Scroll to the bottom of the plan comparison page and click the 'Cancel plan' link or button.

Confirm cancellation

Review the confirmation prompt listing any features you will lose, then confirm the cancellation. The change takes effect within approximately 10 minutes.
