Can I still access my cloud videos after I cancel?

Yes, until your current billing period ends. Once the subscription expires, no new videos will upload and existing videos will be deleted based on your loop recording duration — 15-day plan videos delete within 1 day of expiry, 30-day plan within 1 day accordingly.

Will I get a refund if I cancel mid-subscription?

No. YI Technology's policy explicitly states: 'We do not accept refund while your subscription is still active.' You will retain access through the end of your paid billing period, but no partial refund is issued.

How do I reactivate my subscription after cancelling?

Open the YI Home or YI IoT app, select your camera, go to Settings → My YI Cloud → Subscription Management, and choose a new plan to resubscribe. Previously deleted cloud videos cannot be recovered.

What happens to my recorded videos when the subscription expires?

Videos are deleted on a rolling basis matching your old loop duration. For example, with a 15-day loop plan, all stored videos are deleted starting the day after your subscription expiration date. Download any important footage before this date.

I pay through PayPal — do I need to do anything extra?

Yes, this is critical. Canceling inside the YI app does not stop PayPal recurring payments. You must also go to PayPal → Settings → Payments → Manage Automatic Payments → find YI Technology → Cancel to stop future charges.

Can I cancel a free trial before being charged?

Yes. Canceling during a free trial stops cloud recording immediately — no videos will upload to cloud from that point. You will not be charged as long as you cancel before the trial period ends.

Open the YI Home or YI IoT app

Launch the YI Home (or YI IoT) app on your iOS or Android device and sign in to your account if prompted.

Select your camera

From the home screen, tap on the camera device that has the active YI Cloud subscription you want to cancel.

Open device Settings

Tap the gear/settings icon (top-right corner of the camera view) to open the device settings menu.

Tap 'My YI Cloud'

Scroll down in the settings menu and tap 'My YI Cloud' to access your cloud storage subscription details.

Tap 'Subscription Management'

Tap 'Subscription Management' to view your current active plan and billing details.

Tap 'Subscribed' then 'Cancel Subscription'

Tap the 'Subscribed' status button to expand options, then tap 'Cancel Subscription' and confirm the cancellation when prompted.

Cancel PayPal automatic payments separately (if applicable)

If you pay via PayPal, canceling in the app does NOT stop PayPal charges. You must also go to PayPal → Settings → Payments → Manage Automatic Payments → find YI Technology → Cancel.

Download any saved videos before expiration

After cancellation, log in to the YI Home app and download any cloud-stored videos before your billing period ends, as they will be permanently deleted after the subscription expires.
