Will I lose access to Premium features immediately after canceling?

No. Your Premium access continues until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account reverts to the free tier with basic grammar and spelling checks only.

Can I get a refund after canceling?

Grammarly does not offer refunds or a money-back guarantee on any paid plan. If you cancel, you keep access until the billing period ends but will not receive a refund for the unused time.

Does canceling delete my documents?

No. All your documents remain saved in your Grammarly account even after you downgrade to the free plan. Only Premium features become unavailable.

Can I reactivate my subscription later?

Yes. You can reactivate at any time by returning to account.grammarly.com/subscription and choosing a new plan. Your previous documents and settings will still be there.

Does uninstalling the Grammarly app cancel my subscription?

No. Uninstalling the browser extension or app does not cancel your subscription and you will continue to be billed. You must cancel through the website at account.grammarly.com/subscription.

What if I subscribed through the Apple App Store or Google Play?

If you purchased Grammarly Premium through the App Store, you must cancel via iOS Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions → Grammarly. For Google Play, cancel via Google Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Grammarly. Grammarly support cannot cancel App Store or Play Store subscriptions on your behalf.

Log in to Grammarly

Go to account.grammarly.com and sign in with your Grammarly credentials.

Open Account settings

Click on 'Account' in the left-hand sidebar of the Grammarly dashboard.

Go to Subscription

Click on the 'Subscription' tab in the left panel to view your current plan details.

Click 'Cancel Subscription'

Scroll to the bottom of the Subscription page and click the 'Cancel Subscription' link.

Confirm intent

A confirmation prompt appears — click 'Yes, Continue' to proceed past the initial confirmation screen.

Select cancellation reason

Grammarly presents a short survey asking why you are canceling. Select a reason from the options provided.

Final confirmation

Click the final 'Cancel Subscription' button to complete the cancellation. You will receive a confirmation email and retain Premium access until the end of your current billing period.
