Can I cancel Albtelecom online?

There is no self-service online cancellation portal for postpaid, internet, or IPTV contracts. The only partial online option is cancelling an auto-renewal internet add-on by sending an SMS with 'Cancel Internet' to 138. Full contract termination requires a phone call or in-person store visit.

Will I be charged an early termination fee?

Yes, if you cancel before your contract ends. Mobile postpaid (12-month minimum) charges a lump sum equal to all remaining monthly fees. IPTV (ALBtv, 24-month minimum) charges up to 10,000 ALL proportional to remaining months, plus 1,600 ALL if you cancel within the first 12 months and keep the decoder. Always ask for the exact fee amount before agreeing to cancel.

Can I access my service until the end of the billing month?

Yes, your service remains active until the cancellation is processed, and your final bill covers the full month in which you cancel regardless of the date — there are no partial-month refunds.

Can I switch to a prepaid plan instead of cancelling entirely?

Yes, switching from a postpaid contract to a prepaid plan is an option. However, AKEP data shows this process has also generated complaints for delays and obstacles, so request written confirmation of the switch and allow extra time for processing.

Can I reactivate my Albtelecom service after cancelling?

Reactivation options are not officially documented. Contact Albtelecom/ONE Albania customer service at 123 or kujdesi_abonentit@albtelecom.al to inquire about rejoining as a new customer.

What can I do if Albtelecom refuses to process my cancellation?

Check your contract terms

Before cancelling, review your contract to find your remaining months and calculate any early termination fee. For mobile postpaid (Control Plans), the penalty equals all remaining monthly fees. For IPTV (ALBtv), the penalty is up to 10,000 ALL plus a 1,600 ALL decoder clawback if within the first 12 months.

Full postpaid, internet, and IPTV contract terminations require an in-person visit to an Albtelecom/ONE Albania shop. Request written termination confirmation

Ask the agent to provide written confirmation of your cancellation request and the effective termination date. Note the name of the agent who processed your request. This is important given regulator-documented delays in contract closures.

Return any rented equipment

Return any rented hardware (router, decoder, SIM card if required) at the store. Failure to return the IPTV decoder within the first 12 months results in an additional 1,600 ALL penalty.

Monitor your final bill

Expect one final bill covering the full calendar month in which you cancel (no partial-month prorating) plus any applicable early termination fees. Verify the amount matches what you were quoted at the store.

Escalate to AKEP if cancellation is delayed

If Albtelecom/ONE Albania delays or refuses to process your cancellation, file a complaint with Albania's telecom regulator AKEP at akep.al. The regulator has previously fined ONE Albania specifically for obstacles in contract closure and has historically resolved such complaints.
