What happens if I miss the 45-day notice window?

If you do not send your non-renewal notice at least 45 days before your contract end date, your subscription will automatically renew for another full term (typically one year) at the current contract rate. You will be liable for the full renewed term.

Will I receive a refund after cancelling?

ChurnZero's standard terms do not provide refunds for prepaid subscription fees. Cancellation (non-renewal) takes effect at the end of the current paid term, not immediately. Review your specific contract for any refund clauses negotiated at signup.

Can I access my account after the subscription ends?

No. Access to your ChurnZero platform, all dashboards, segments, playbooks, and integrations will be terminated at the end of your subscription term. Export all data before your access end date.

How do I get my data back after cancellation?

You should export all data before your subscription ends using the Admin panel export tools. For customers in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, ChurnZero will make data available for export or download upon request within 30 days after termination. Outside these regions, ChurnZero has no obligation to retain data post-termination.

Can I reactivate my ChurnZero account after cancelling?

Yes, you can reactivate by contacting ChurnZero's sales team at churnzero.com or reaching out to your former Account Executive. Reactivation will require signing a new contract, and historical data may not be recoverable if significant time has passed.

Is there a way to cancel ChurnZero mid-contract?

Mid-contract termination is generally not permitted under standard ChurnZero terms unless there is a material breach by ChurnZero. If you need to exit early, you would need to negotiate directly with your Account Executive — early termination fees may apply depending on your contract terms.

Review your contract terms

Log into your ChurnZero account at https://app.churnzero.net and locate your subscription contract. ChurnZero uses annual contracts with automatic renewal. You must submit a non-renewal notice at least 45 days before the end of your current subscription term, or your contract will auto-renew.

Identify your renewal date

Check your original order form or contract for your subscription end date. Count back 45 days from that date — that is your deadline to submit a non-renewal notice. If you are unsure, contact your ChurnZero Customer Success Manager (CSM) or email accounting@churnzero.net to confirm your renewal date.

Contact your Customer Success Manager

Notify your assigned ChurnZero Customer Success Manager (CSM) or Account Executive of your intent to cancel. They will likely schedule a cancellation call to discuss reasons, offer alternatives, or present retention offers. This step is expected but not strictly required if you proceed directly via email.

Send formal written non-renewal notice

Send an email to accounting@churnzero.net stating your intent to not renew. Include your company name, account ID (if known), and the current subscription end date. Per ChurnZero's Terms and Conditions, this written notice is required and must be received at least 45 days before your term end date.

Request written confirmation

Follow up with accounting@churnzero.net and your CSM to obtain written confirmation that your non-renewal notice has been received and processed. Keep this confirmation for your records in case of any billing disputes.

Export your data before access ends

Before your subscription expires, export all customer data, reports, and segments from your ChurnZero admin panel. Navigate to Admin settings and use the available export tools. After termination, ChurnZero has no obligation to retain your data (exception: EEA/UK/Switzerland customers may request export within 30 days post-termination).
