What happens to my account after I cancel?

Your PRO features remain active until the end of your current billing cycle. After that, your account automatically downgrades to the free GTmetrix Basic plan and you retain access to basic features.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

GTmetrix offers a 14-day money-back guarantee. If you cancel within 14 days of a payment, contact their support team with your reason and they will issue a refund. Requests after 14 days are reviewed case-by-case and may only be eligible for account credit rather than a cash refund.

Can I reactivate my PRO plan after cancelling?

Yes. You can re-subscribe to a PRO plan at any time from your Account page or the Pricing page. Your account history and past reports are retained on the free plan.

Will GTmetrix delete my data when I cancel?

No, your account and stored reports are not automatically deleted. You remain on the free Basic plan. To permanently delete your account and data, you must cancel your PRO plan first and then use the account deletion page at gtmetrix.com/dashboard/delete_account.

What if I have unpaid invoices — can I still cancel?

No. GTmetrix requires all past invoices to be paid before you can cancel or downgrade your subscription. Settle any outstanding balance first, then proceed with cancellation from the Account page.

Can I pause my subscription instead of cancelling?

GTmetrix does not offer a pause feature. Your options are to keep your current plan, downgrade to the free Basic plan, or switch to a lower-tier PRO plan. Downgrading to free is effectively the same as cancelling.

Log in to GTmetrix

Go to gtmetrix.com and click 'Log In' in the top-right corner. Enter your email and password to access your account.

Open Account Settings

Click your profile icon or account name in the top-right corner, then select 'My Account' (or navigate directly to gtmetrix.com/dashboard/account).

Locate the PRO Plan section

On the Account page, scroll to the 'PRO Plan' or 'Subscription' section. This shows your current plan, billing cycle, and plan management options.

Click 'Cancel Plan'

Click the 'Cancel Plan' button within the plan management section. GTmetrix requires all past invoices to be paid before cancellation is allowed.

Confirm cancellation

Follow the on-screen prompts to confirm your cancellation. GTmetrix may present a downgrade option (to the free Basic plan) as an alternative to full cancellation.

Check for confirmation email

After confirming, GTmetrix sends a cancellation confirmation email to your registered address. Keep this as proof of cancellation.
