Early termination before your contract end date typically does not entitle you to a refund unless iCIMS was in material breach of the agreement.

How much notice do I need to give before my renewal date?

The required notice period is specified in your individual contract — it is commonly 30 to 90 days before the renewal date. Check Section 3 (Term and Renewal) of your Subscription Agreement for the exact notice window. Missing this window typically results in automatic renewal for another full contract term.

What happens to my data after cancellation?

Upon termination, iCIMS may immediately deactivate your account and delete all associated data, files, and records with no recovery option. You must export all candidate data, job requisitions, reports, and integrations before your termination date. Request a full data export from your Customer Success Manager well in advance of the end date.

Can I reactivate my iCIMS account after canceling?

Yes, reactivation is possible by contacting iCIMS Sales at +1 (848) 208-6951. However, since data is deleted upon termination, previously stored candidate and workflow data will not be recoverable unless you retained your own exports. You would start a new contract as a new customer.

How do I cancel if I don't know who my Account Executive is?

Call iCIMS Support at +1 (800) 889-4422 and ask to be connected to your account's Customer Success Manager or Account Executive. Alternatively, email accounts@icims.com with your company name and account details requesting account termination. Log in to the iCIMS Community portal at community.icims.com — your CSM's contact may also be listed there under your account profile.

Does iCIMS charge a fee for early termination?

iCIMS contracts are typically fixed-term annual agreements. Canceling mid-term (before the contract end date) may require paying out the remaining balance of the contract rather than simply stopping service. This typically includes a call to discuss your reasons for leaving (expect retention offers such as discounts, feature unlocks, or contract restructuring). Confirm in writing that you wish to proceed with cancellation despite any offers.

Export your data before access ends

Before your contract end date, export all candidate records, job requisitions, reports, and any other data from the iCIMS platform. Use the iCIMS reporting tools or request a data export via your CSM. Upon termination, iCIMS may immediately deactivate your account and delete all associated data with no recovery option.

Obtain written cancellation confirmation

Request and save a written confirmation from iCIMS acknowledging your cancellation and the effective termination date. This protects you against unexpected renewal charges. Verify your final invoice — any charges billed after iCIMS processes your cancellation notice should be refunded per their terms.
