Can I cancel online without calling?

No. 헬로모바일 has no self-service online cancellation. The website offers a callback request form (해지 상담 신청) at m.lghellovision.net/app/customer/joinproduct/cancelproduct.do, but this only schedules an agent to call you back — it does not cancel the service directly. Phone is required.

Will I be charged for the full month if I cancel mid-month?

No. Charges are prorated daily (일할 계산): monthly fee × (days used ÷ total days in month). For example, canceling on the 17th of October on a ₩30,800/month plan results in a charge of approximately ₩13,909 including VAT.

Is there a cancellation fee?

No-contract USIM plans (무약정 유심 요금제) have no cancellation fee. Contract plans (약정) carry an early termination fee (위약금) calculated as: subsidy amount × (remaining days ÷ total contract days). No fee applies once the 24-month contract period is complete.

What happens to my phone number after cancellation?

The number is held for up to 28 days before being reassigned. If you are porting your number to another carrier (번호이동), cancellation of 헬로모바일 happens automatically when the new carrier activates your number — no separate cancellation call is needed.

Can I reverse a cancellation?

Yes, within 7 days of the cancellation date by calling customer service again. However, some promotional discounts may be retroactively removed if you reverse the cancellation, so confirm the impact with the agent before proceeding.

I deleted my eSIM profile from my phone — is my service cancelled?

No. Deleting the eSIM profile from your device settings does NOT cancel the service. Your account remains active and you continue to be billed. You must call 114 or 1855-1140 to cancel the eSIM in the backend system. Accidentally re-issuing an eSIM profile costs ₩2,750.

Call 114 from your 헬로모바일 number (free), or use the network-specific number: LGU+ network → 1855-1140, KT network → 1855-1144, SKT network → 1855-2114. Operating hours are weekdays 09:00–18:00 only. Best call times are 09:00–11:00 or 14:00–16:00 to avoid long wait queues.

Navigate ARS to cancellation

On the automated ARS menu, press 6 for '해지 문의' (Cancellation inquiry), or press 0 at any time to skip directly to a live agent. Wait to be connected.

Verify your identity

The agent will ask for your name (이름), date of birth (생년월일), and phone number (전화번호). Have your ID card (신분증) ready. You will then be transferred to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety automated ARS (행안부 ARS) for identity confirmation — the system announces '일치합니다' (matches) when verification succeeds.

State your cancellation request

Tell the agent: '해지 신청하겠습니다' (I would like to cancel). The agent will confirm any outstanding balance, the prorated charge for the current month, and any early termination fee (위약금) if you are on a contract plan.

Confirm final charges and consent

Review the final charge amount (daily prorated to cancellation date: monthly fee × days used ÷ days in month). The agent records your verbal consent (녹음 동의 — consent to recording). Confirm you understand any outstanding balance must be paid before cancellation proceeds.

Receive confirmation SMS

After the agent completes processing, a confirmation SMS is sent to your (now cancelled) number. Cancellation takes effect the same day in most cases. Service terminates immediately upon confirmation.

Delete website account (optional)

To remove your online account separately, log in to mobile.lghellovision.net, click '회원정보수정' (Edit Member Information) at the top of the page, enter your current password, then click the '회원탈퇴' (Withdraw Membership) button. Note: you cannot re-register for 30 days after account deletion.
