Will I lose access to Amplitude immediately after canceling?

No. Your Plus plan remains active until the end of your current billing period (end of month for monthly plans, end of year for annual plans). You will be downgraded to the free Starter plan after that date.

Can I get a refund after canceling?

Amplitude does not offer pro-rated refunds for annual plans canceled mid-term. Monthly plans have no cancellation fees and simply do not renew after the current period ends. Check your Plus Plan Addendum (amplitude.com/plus-plan-terms) for your specific terms.

What happens to my data when I cancel?

Your data is retained but access may be restricted to Starter plan limits after downgrade. You should export any critical data before your paid plan expires. Amplitude is not obligated to store data post-termination if you fully close your account.

Can I reactivate my plan after canceling?

Yes. You can resubscribe to the Plus plan at any time by going back to Settings > Organization Settings > Plans & Billing and selecting an upgrade option. Your historical data should remain accessible.

How do I cancel a Startup Scholarship plan?

Scholarship plan holders must cancel by emailing scholarship@amplitude.com directly — there is no self-serve cancellation option for this plan type.

Who in my organization can cancel the subscription?

Only the user who originally made the purchase or Organization Admins have access to the Plans & Billing > Manage Billing page required to cancel. Standard members do not see this option.

Log in to Amplitude

Go to app.amplitude.com and sign in to your account. You must be the original purchaser or an Organization Admin to cancel — regular members cannot initiate cancellation.

Open Settings

Click the gear icon or your avatar in the bottom-left corner of the Amplitude dashboard to open the Settings menu.

Go to Organization Settings

In the Settings panel, select 'Organization Settings' from the left-hand navigation menu.

Navigate to Plans & Billing

Click on 'Plans & Billing' in the Organization Settings sidebar. This shows your current plan, billing cycle, and renewal date.

Click Manage Billing

Click the 'Manage Billing' button on the Plans & Billing page. This opens the billing portal where subscription changes can be made.

Select Cancel Plan

In the billing portal, click 'Cancel' or 'Cancel Plan'. You will be asked to confirm the cancellation. Confirm to proceed — your plan will remain active until the end of the current billing period.

Enterprise plans: Contact your Account Manager

If you are on a custom Enterprise or Growth plan (not self-serve Plus), cancellation is not available in-app. You must contact your dedicated Amplitude Account Manager or reach out via the Amplitude support portal at gethelp.amplitude.com to initiate cancellation in accordance with your contract terms.
