Will I lose access immediately after canceling?

No. Your access continues until the end of your current paid billing period. You will not be locked out immediately after canceling.

Can I get a refund after canceling?

No. Timely has a strict no-refund policy. There are no credits for partial months and no prorating on cancellations, even for accidental plan upgrades.

What happens to my data after cancellation?

Your data remains stored in Timely indefinitely after cancellation — they do not automatically delete it. This means you can reactivate and pick up where you left off. To permanently delete your data, go to Settings > Workspace and use the workspace deletion option (separate from canceling).

Can I reactivate my subscription after canceling?

Yes. Since your data is retained, you can reactivate at any time by going to Settings > Subscriptions and setting up a new payment plan.

How do I cancel if I subscribed through the App Store or Google Play?

Timely cannot manage app store subscriptions directly. For iOS, go to Settings > [Your Apple ID] > Subscriptions > Timely > Cancel Subscription. For Android, visit play.google.com/store/account/subscriptions, find Timely, and click 'Cancel Subscription'.

Can I export my data before canceling?

Yes. You can export your timesheets as Excel, CSV, or PDF from the Reports section before canceling. It is strongly recommended to do this before your access period ends, as Timely offers no read-only access after account closure.

Log in to Timely

Go to app.timelyapp.com and sign in to your account on a desktop computer (cancellation is not available on mobile).

Open your profile menu

Click your profile icon in the top-right corner of the screen to open the dropdown menu.

Go to Settings

Select 'Settings' from the dropdown menu.

Navigate to Subscriptions

Click the 'Subscriptions' tab in the Settings panel.

Click 'Cancel subscriptions'

Scroll down past the 'Add-ons' field and click the 'Cancel subscriptions' button. Note: if you have a larger team size, Timely may require you to schedule a call with their Sales team before proceeding — self-serve cancellation is blocked for enterprise accounts.

Complete the exit survey

Fill out the cancellation survey explaining your reason for leaving. This is required before the cancellation can be confirmed.

Confirm cancellation

On the confirmation screen, click to finalize the cancellation. Ignore the 'Set up payments' win-back button if you wish to proceed. You will see a message confirming your subscription 'is set to expire at the end of your current subscription period'.
