Log in to GoDaddy
Go to godaddy.com and sign in to your account using your username/email and password.
Open Account Settings
Click your account name or avatar in the top-right corner, then select 'Account Settings' from the dropdown menu.
Go to Renewals & Billing
In Account Settings, click 'Renewals & Billing' in the left-hand sidebar, then click 'Manage Subscriptions' to see all active products.
Find your hosting plan
Locate your Web Hosting (or Managed WordPress, cPanel Hosting, etc.) subscription in the list. Click on it to expand the product details.
Click Turn off Auto-Renew
Click the 'Turn off Auto-Renew' button (or 'Cancel Renewal') next to the hosting product. This prevents future charges and initiates the cancellation flow.
Select a cancellation reason
A dialog box appears asking why you are canceling. Select one of the provided reasons (e.g. 'Too expensive', 'Moving to another provider') from the dropdown, then click 'Continue to Cancel'.
Confirm cancellation
Review the cancellation details shown — including your access end date. Click 'Cancel Renewal' (or 'Confirm Cancellation') to finalize. GoDaddy may present a discount offer or downgrade option here; click 'No thanks, cancel anyway' to proceed.
Check confirmation email
You will receive a cancellation confirmation email from GoDaddy. Verify the correct plan is listed and save it for your records.
