Can I still watch Viaplay after I cancel?

Yes. Your access continues until the end of your current paid billing period. You will not lose access immediately upon cancellation.

Will I get a refund after cancelling?

No. Viaplay does not offer pro-rated refunds for partial billing periods. The only exception is if a technical fault on their end prevented you from accessing the service, which requires contacting support with a formal ticket.

How do I cancel if I subscribed through Apple or Google?

If you signed up via the App Store or Google Play, your billing is managed by Apple or Google — not Viaplay. You must cancel through your Apple ID subscriptions (Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions) or Google Play (Play Store > Subscriptions), not through the Viaplay website.

Can I reactivate my subscription after cancelling?

Yes. You can reactivate at any time by logging back in to viaplay.com and re-subscribing. Viaplay retains your watch history and watchlist, so your data should still be there when you return.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

Cancelling a subscription does not delete your account or personal data. To request data deletion, you need to contact Viaplay support separately and request account deletion under applicable privacy regulations (e.g. GDPR).

I cancelled but was still charged — what should I do?

Make sure you received a cancellation confirmation email. If you were charged after confirmed cancellation, contact Viaplay customer support with your confirmation as evidence. If unresolved, you can dispute the charge with your bank or card provider.

Log in to Viaplay

Go to viaplay.com and sign in with your email and password.

Open your account menu

Click on your profile icon or avatar in the top-right corner of the page to open the account dropdown menu.

Go to Account settings

Select 'My Account' (or 'Manage Account') from the dropdown menu.

Navigate to Subscriptions

Click on the 'Subscriptions & Payments' or 'Manage Subscription' tab within your account settings.

Click 'Cancel Subscription'

Find your active package and click the 'Cancel Subscription' (or 'Segja upp pakka' in Icelandic regions) button.

Select a cancellation reason

Choose a reason for cancelling from the dropdown or list of options when prompted (this is a retention step — you can select any reason and continue).

Confirm cancellation

Click the final 'Confirm Cancellation' button to complete the process.

Check for confirmation email

Look for a cancellation confirmation email in your inbox. Save or screenshot this as proof of cancellation.
