What happens to my account after I cancel?

Your paid subscription stays active until the end of your current billing period. After that, your account automatically switches to Teamwork.com's Free Forever plan. Only the 5 most recently updated projects remain active; all others are archived. Only the account owner plus the 4 most recently active users remain as standard users; others become collaborators.

Can I get a refund when I cancel?

Teamwork.com does not offer partial refunds for annual plans cancelled mid-year — your account simply stays active for the remainder of the paid period. Monthly subscribers are not charged again after cancellation but are not refunded for the current month. There is no charge if you cancel within the 30-day free trial.

Can I reactivate my subscription after cancelling?

Yes. Because your account downgrades to Free Forever rather than being deleted, you can re-subscribe to a paid plan at any time from the Subscription settings page, and your archived projects and data will be restored.

Will my data be deleted when I cancel?

No, cancelling (downgrading) preserves your data under Free Forever plan limits. If you instead choose the 'Delete Account' option, your site and all its data are permanently and irreversibly deleted — this is a separate, more destructive action than simply cancelling.

I pay via PayPal — do I need to do anything extra?

Yes. Cancelling inside Teamwork.com does not stop PayPal from charging you. You must also log into your PayPal account and cancel the recurring payment there separately to avoid future charges.

How do I completely delete my account rather than just downgrading?

On the same Subscription page, scroll to the 'Delete Account' section and click 'Delete account'. Confirm by clicking 'I still want to delete', then click 'Cancel Plan'. This permanently removes your site and all data and cannot be undone.

Open your profile menu

Log in to your Teamwork.com account. Click your profile image (avatar) in the top-right corner of the main navigation menu.

Go to Subscription settings

From the dropdown menu, click 'Subscription' to open your billing and subscription management page.

Locate the Cancel Subscription section

Scroll down the Subscription page until you find the 'Cancel Subscription' section near the bottom of the page.

Click 'Cancel my subscription'

Click the 'Cancel my subscription' button to begin the cancellation flow.

Complete the offboarding survey

Teamwork presents an offboarding survey asking why you are cancelling (e.g. too expensive, missing features, not using it). Select your reason(s) and fill in any required fields.

Confirm cancellation

After completing the survey, click 'Cancel Plan' to finalize your cancellation. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle, after which your account automatically downgrades to the Free Forever plan.
