Check your contract terms

Before cancelling, review your contract to find your remaining months and calculate any early termination fee. For mobile postpaid (Control Plans), the penalty equals all remaining monthly fees. For IPTV (ALBtv), the penalty is up to 10,000 ALL plus a 1,600 ALL decoder clawback if within the first 12 months.

Visit a store in person (required for most contracts)

Full postpaid, internet, and IPTV contract terminations require an in-person visit to an Albtelecom/ONE Albania shop. Bring your Albanian national ID card (or passport if a foreigner) and any account documentation. Stores are located across Albania; the headquarters is at Myslym Shyri Street No. 42, Tirana.

Request written termination confirmation

Ask the agent to provide written confirmation of your cancellation request and the effective termination date. Note the name of the agent who processed your request. This is important given regulator-documented delays in contract closures.

Return any rented equipment

Return any rented hardware (router, decoder, SIM card if required) at the store. Failure to return the IPTV decoder within the first 12 months results in an additional 1,600 ALL penalty.

Monitor your final bill

Expect one final bill covering the full calendar month in which you cancel (no partial-month prorating) plus any applicable early termination fees. Verify the amount matches what you were quoted at the store.

Escalate to AKEP if cancellation is delayed

If Albtelecom/ONE Albania delays or refuses to process your cancellation, file a complaint with Albania's telecom regulator AKEP at akep.al. The regulator has previously fined ONE Albania specifically for obstacles in contract closure and has historically resolved such complaints.
