Will I lose access immediately after downgrading?

No. Your current paid plan remains active until the end of the current billing cycle. Botpress subscriptions renew on the 1st of each month, so you retain full access until that date.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

Botpress does not offer prorated refunds for the remaining days in a billing cycle. If you cancel mid-month, you continue to have access until the cycle ends but will not be reimbursed. Refunds for non-conforming services may be offered at Botpress's discretion per their Terms of Service.

Can I reactivate my paid plan after downgrading?

Yes. You can upgrade back to any paid plan at any time from the Billing → Plans tab in your dashboard. Upgrades are applied immediately on a prorated basis.

What happens to my bots and data if I downgrade to Pay-as-You-Go?

Your bots remain accessible on the free PAYG tier, but you lose features exclusive to the paid plan (e.g., human handoff, conversation insights, watermark removal, collaboration tools). Bots exceeding PAYG limits may be paused.

What happens to my data if I delete my account?

Botpress will permanently delete all Customer Data 30 days after account termination, per their Terms of Service. They will certify in writing that no copies are retained.

Can Enterprise plan customers cancel early?

No. Enterprise customers cannot terminate their subscription before the committed contract duration ends. Attempting to do so allows Botpress to recover all remaining fees as damages. Contact your account manager to discuss options.

Log in to Botpress Dashboard

Go to app.botpress.com and sign in to your account with your credentials.

Open Workspace Settings

In the top navigation or left sidebar, click on your Workspace name or avatar to access workspace-level options.

Navigate to Billing

Click on 'Billing' in the left sidebar or workspace menu. This opens the Billing area with three tabs: Summary, Add-ons, and Plans.

Click the Plans Tab

Inside the Billing section, click the 'Plans' tab. This shows your current active plan and all available plan options.

Select Downgrade or Change Plan

Locate the lower-tier plan you want to move to (e.g., Pay-as-You-Go / PAYG, which is the free tier at $0/month). Click 'Downgrade' or 'Select Plan' next to it.

Confirm the Downgrade

A confirmation dialog will appear summarizing the change. Review the details — note that changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle (subscriptions renew on the 1st of each month). Click 'Confirm' to finalize.

Optional: Delete Your Account

If you want to fully close your account rather than downgrade, go to Workspace Settings and look for 'Delete Workspace' or 'Delete Account'. Per Botpress Terms of Service, account deletion is performed through the Software interface and triggers a 30-day data retention period before permanent deletion.
