Will my published pages go offline after I cancel?

No. Live published pages remain accessible after cancellation. Builder.io does not take down your published content. However, you lose the ability to edit or publish new content until you reactivate a paid plan.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

Refunds are not automatic. You must first cancel or downgrade, then email support@builder.io with your public API key explaining the situation. Builder.io handles refunds case-by-case; they typically take 5–10 business days to process.

What happens to my data and content after cancellation?

Your Spaces and all previously created content are retained. You simply cannot edit or publish new content on the Free plan. Resubscribing restores full editing access.

Do unused credits carry over when I cancel?

No. Any remaining credits are reset and forfeited when a subscription is cancelled. They do not carry over to the Free plan.

Can I reactivate my subscription later?

Yes. You can resubscribe to a paid plan at any time. Your previously built content remains intact and becomes editable again upon reactivation.

I installed Builder.io through Shopify — how do I cancel?

Shopify-billed subscriptions cannot be cancelled from the Builder.io dashboard. Go to your Shopify Admin, click Apps, find Builder.io, and click Delete or Uninstall. This automatically cancels the subscription and stops recurring charges.

Log in to Builder.io

Go to builder.io and sign in to your account.

Open Settings

In the left sidebar, click 'Settings'.

Go to Subscription

Within Settings, navigate to the 'Subscription' or 'Billing' section. You can also go directly to builder.io/account/subscription.

Click Manage Subscription

Click the 'Manage Subscription' button to reveal your current plan options, including downgrade, pause, and cancel.

Select cancellation option

Choose the cancel option from the plan management screen.

Confirm cancellation

Confirm the cancellation when prompted. Your paid plan will remain active until the end of the current billing period, then revert to the Free plan automatically.
