Check your contract terms

Before cancelling, check your HomeCare policy documents or log in to My Account at britishgas.co.uk to confirm your contract start date and renewal date. Note whether you are within the 14-day cooling-off period (full refund, no fees) or mid-contract (refund for unused period, but any work already carried out by British Gas may be charged).

Go to britishgas.co.uk and click 'My Account' in the top-right corner. Sign in with your email address; you will receive a one-time verification code by email to complete login.

Navigate to your HomeCare plan

Once logged in, go to the 'Home services' or 'HomeCare' section of your account dashboard. Select your active HomeCare plan from the list of services.

Initiate cancellation online (renewals) or call to cancel

If you received a renewal quote and do not wish to renew, you can cancel directly through the online account interface by selecting 'Cancel my HomeCare' or following the cancellation prompt. Confirm in writing (optional but recommended)
