Does canceling my subscription affect my ability to use Krita?

No. Krita is completely free and open-source software. Canceling your development fund subscription has zero impact on your ability to download or use Krita — you will continue to have full access indefinitely.

Will I get a refund after canceling?

Krita does not advertise a refund policy for development fund donations. Since these are voluntary donations to support open-source development, refunds are generally not offered. Contact foundation@krita.org if you have a specific refund request.

Can I reactivate my subscription later?

Yes. You can rejoin the Krita Development Fund at any time by visiting fund.krita.org and choosing a new membership tier (Bronze, Silver, Gold, or Diamond starting from €3/month).

What happens to my KDE account after I cancel?

Your KDE Identity account remains active. Canceling the development fund subscription only stops the recurring payment — it does not delete your account or any associated data.

What if I signed up via PayPal or an older method?

Older Krita recurring donations were processed through PayPal or Mollie. If you cannot find your subscription in fund.krita.org, log in to your PayPal account, go to Settings → Payments → Manage Automatic Payments, find 'Krita Foundation', and click Cancel. Alternatively email foundation@krita.org for help.

How do I cancel a Krita purchase on Steam or Google Play?

Steam purchases of Krita are one-time payments, not subscriptions — there is nothing to cancel. If you subscribed via Google Play, open the Google Play app, tap your profile icon → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, find Krita, and tap Cancel subscription.

Go to the Krita Development Fund

Navigate to https://fund.krita.org in your browser. This is the portal for managing your monthly support subscription.

Log in with your KDE Identity

Click the 'Login' button and sign in using your KDE Invent account (or the third-party account you used when subscribing). If you don't remember your credentials, use the 'Forgot password' option on the KDE Identity login page.

Open your Profile

Once logged in, click on your username or profile icon in the top navigation area to access your account dashboard.

Go to Payment Methods

In your profile/account settings, locate the 'Payment Methods' section. This lists the card or payment source tied to your recurring donation.

Remove payment method and cancel membership

Click 'Remove' next to your saved payment method. This will cancel your active membership in the development fund and stop future charges. Confirm any prompts that appear.

Contact support if self-service fails

If you cannot find a cancellation option in the portal, email the Krita Foundation directly at foundation@krita.org and request cancellation of your recurring donation. Include the email address associated with your account.
