Will I be charged after cancelling?

You are billed for all usage accrued through the day you cancelled. Pay-as-you-go accounts are subject to a $50/month minimum, so you will be charged whichever is greater: actual usage or the minimum. No refunds are issued for charges already incurred.

Can I reactivate my Fastly account after cancelling?

Yes. Contact Fastly support to request reactivation of a cancelled account.

What happens to my data after cancellation?

Fastly's Terms of Service state that account data may be permanently lost upon termination. Contact Fastly support before cancelling if you need to export or retain specific data.

Why can't I click the 'Cancel Account' button?

The button only becomes active once all active services and TLS certificates have been deactivated and deleted. If you have contractual obligations (a signed Service Order), you may be blocked from self-service cancellation and need to contact your Fastly account manager.

Can I cancel just one product instead of the whole account?

Yes. For individual add-on products or trials, navigate to the product card, open its menu, click 'Cancel', and confirm. Access to that product ends immediately, and any accrued usage since the last invoice is still billed.

Do enterprise or contracted accounts cancel the same way?

No. Customers with signed Service Orders have non-cancelable, non-refundable minimum commitments for the duration of the contract term. These accounts must contact their Fastly account manager to discuss cancellation or non-renewal (1 month's written notice required before term end).

Sign in as account owner

Log in to your Fastly account at fastly.com. Only the account owner or a superuser can cancel — regular users cannot initiate cancellation.

Deactivate and delete all services

Before cancellation is possible, every active CDN or Compute service on the account must first be deactivated and then deleted. Do this from the Services section of the control panel.

Remove TLS certificates (if applicable)

If you are using Fastly-managed certificates, deactivate TLS and delete the TLS domains. If using customer-provided certificates, delete the certificates and remove their private keys.

Navigate to Company settings

In the top navigation, click 'Account', then select 'Company settings' from the menu.

Click 'Cancel Account'

Within the Company settings page, locate and click the 'Cancel Account' button. This button only becomes active after all services and TLS certificates have been removed.

Confirm cancellation with password

A confirmation dialog appears. Enter your account password in the 'Your password' field, then click 'Confirm and Cancel' to complete the cancellation.
