Do I lose access to my school immediately after cancelling?

No. Your plan stays active until the end of your current billing period. After that, your school goes offline and you have limited admin access — you cannot add, edit, or publish products.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

Teachable offers a 30-day money-back guarantee from your sign-up or most recent plan upgrade date, applicable to both monthly and annual plans. Cancel your plan first at Settings > Billing, then contact Teachable support to formally request the refund.

Can I reactivate my school after cancelling?

Yes. If your cancellation is pending (not yet effective), a 'Resume subscription' banner appears at the top of your admin. If already cancelled, go to Settings > Billing and select a paid plan. Note: students whose recurring subscriptions were cancelled must re-purchase them after reactivation.

Is my school data deleted after cancellation?

No, your content and data are retained after cancellation, but your school is inaccessible (taken offline). Teachable does not automatically delete your data.

Log in to your school admin

Go to app.teachable.com and log in with your Primary Owner account. Only the Primary Owner can cancel — admin staff accounts do not have this permission.

Complete prerequisites (if applicable)

Before you can cancel, you must: (1) delete any custom domains and set your Teachable subdomain as the primary domain, and (2) if using a custom payment gateway, switch to Teachable:pay or the Monthly Payment Gateway. Skipping these will block the cancellation.

Navigate to Settings > Billing

In the left sidebar of your school admin, click 'Settings', then select 'Billing' from the submenu.

Open the Manage Plan dropdown

In the top-right area of the plan section, click the 'Manage Plan' dropdown button. The cancel option is not shown directly — it is nested inside this dropdown.

Click 'Cancel Plan'

From the 'Manage Plan' dropdown, select 'Cancel Plan'.

Confirm cancellation

A confirmation popup will appear. Confirm the cancellation to complete the process. Your plan remains active until the end of the current billing cycle.
