Visit wealthsimple.com and log in to your account, or open the Wealthsimple app on your smartphone.

Transfer or withdraw your funds

Before closing, transfer any invested funds or cash balances to an external bank account. For investment accounts, you may need to sell assets first or request an in-kind transfer (which takes longer).

Go to Profile and Settings

Click your name or profile icon and navigate to 'Settings'.

Close your account

Look for the 'Close account' option under Settings. Wealthsimple will confirm whether your accounts have zero balances and no pending transfers before proceeding.

Confirm account closure

Follow the on-screen steps to confirm your identity and finalise the account closure. You will receive a confirmation email once all accounts are closed.
