Do I get a refund when I cancel Loox?

Refunds are not issued automatically. If a billing cycle charge already processed before you uninstalled, that charge still goes through on your next Shopify invoice. You can contact support@loox.io to request a refund on a case-by-case basis.

What happens to my reviews and data after uninstalling?

All your reviews, settings, and data are preserved after uninstalling — nothing is deleted automatically. If you reinstall Loox later, everything is restored exactly as it was. To permanently delete your data, you must contact support@loox.io explicitly.

Can I reactivate my Loox subscription after cancelling?

Yes. Simply reinstall Loox from the Shopify App Store. All your previous reviews and settings will be restored automatically.

Will Loox keep charging me if I pause my Shopify store?

Yes. If your store is on Shopify's 'Pause and Build' plan, third-party app charges including Loox continue to bill normally. You must uninstall Loox separately to stop charges. If you cannot access your admin, contact support@loox.io directly — they can cancel and issue refunds in this case.

Can a staff member cancel the Loox subscription for me?

No. Only the store owner account can uninstall apps from Shopify admin. Staff accounts and collaborators do not have permission to delete installed apps.

Is there a cancellation page on the Loox website?

No. Loox is billed entirely through Shopify's billing system, so there is no separate cancellation page on loox.io or within the Loox dashboard. The only way to cancel is to uninstall the app from your Shopify admin.

Log in to Shopify Admin

Go to https://[yourstore].myshopify.com/admin and log in with your store owner account. Note: only the store owner can uninstall apps — staff and collaborator accounts cannot.

Open the Apps section

Click 'Apps' in the left-hand sidebar of your Shopify admin, or navigate directly to https://[yourstore].myshopify.com/admin/apps to see all installed apps.

Find Loox in your app list

Scroll through your installed apps to locate 'Loox ‑ Product Reviews & Photos'. The apps are listed alphabetically.

Click the delete icon or menu

Click the trash/delete icon next to Loox. On newer versions of the Shopify UI, click the three-dot menu (⋯) beside Loox and select 'Delete'.

Select a cancellation reason

Shopify displays a reason selection screen. Choose any reason from the dropdown that best fits your situation — this is required before you can proceed.

Confirm uninstall

Click the 'Delete' (or 'Uninstall') button to confirm. Shopify immediately stops all future billing for Loox at this point.

Clean up theme code (optional)

Loox may leave a snippet in your theme. In your Shopify theme editor, open theme.liquid and remove any lines referencing Loox, including {{ shop.metafields.loox["global_html_body"] }}. Do a hard refresh (Ctrl+F5 / Cmd+Shift+R) after saving.
