Log in to Danske Mobile Banking or eBanking

Open the Danske Mobile Banking app or go to danskebank.com and log in with your credentials.

Navigate to Accounts

In the app, tap 'Accounts' from the top menu. In eBanking, select 'Accounts' from the top navigation bar.

Select the account to close

Tap or click the specific account you want to close. Note: you can only close accounts you personally own — joint accounts and mandate accounts cannot be closed this way.

Open the close account option

In the app: tap the three-dot menu icon in the top-right corner, then select 'Close account'. In eBanking: open the 'Terms' tab, then click 'Close account' at the bottom of the page.

Handle linked payment agreements

Choose what to do with any standing orders, direct debits (Betalingsservice), and NemKonto linked to the account — either transfer them to another account or delete them.

Confirm closure

In the app: enter your service code to confirm. In eBanking: confirm your closure request when prompted. The process takes less than 60 seconds.
