Identify your service type

Determine which Culligan service you have: (A) filter/replacement subscription from shop.culligan.com, (B) bottled water delivery, or (C) equipment rental (softener, RO system, cooler). Each has a different cancellation process. Check your billing statements or account confirmation email to identify your service type.

Locate your local dealer (B & C only)

For water delivery or equipment rental, go to culligan.com and use the dealer locator tool — enter your zip code to find your local dealer's direct phone number. National lines (1-877-431-9752) typically redirect you to your local dealer anyway, so finding the direct number saves time.

Cancel online (filter subscriptions only)

For shop.culligan.com filter subscriptions: log in at shop.culligan.com → click 'Order History' → click 'Manage Subscription & Address' → select the 'Subscriptions' tab → click your active subscription → scroll to the bottom of the page → click 'Cancel Subscription'. No fee applies.

Call your local dealer (water delivery or equipment rental)

Call your local Culligan dealer directly to request cancellation. State clearly: 'I want to cancel my service.' For water delivery, expect a 30-day notice period — you will be billed for the full 30 days from the date you call regardless of when equipment is picked up. For equipment rentals, ask specifically about any early termination fee that applies to your contract.

Schedule equipment return pickup

For water delivery (coolers/dispensers) and equipment rentals (softeners, RO systems): arrange a technician pickup date during your cancellation call. All Culligan-owned rental equipment must be physically returned — you cannot keep it. Some dealers charge an equipment removal fee (~$200); ask upfront if this applies.

Request written cancellation confirmation

Before ending the call, explicitly ask for a written confirmation email of your cancellation. Note the name of the representative, the date, and the effective cancellation date. Do not consider cancellation complete until you receive written confirmation AND equipment has been picked up — multiple customers report continued billing without this documentation.

Monitor billing and dispute if necessary

Check your next 1-2 billing cycles to confirm charges have stopped. If billed after confirmed cancellation, contact your local dealer first with your written confirmation.
