Will I lose access to Figma immediately after cancelling?

No. You retain full access to all Professional features until the end of your current billing period. After that, the team is automatically downgraded to the free Starter plan.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

No. Figma subscriptions are non-refundable. You keep access through the paid period but will not receive a partial refund for unused time. If you believe a billing error occurred, contact support@figma.com.

What happens to my files when I downgrade to the free Starter plan?

Your files are not deleted, but editing may be blocked if you exceed the Starter plan limits (3 Figma Design files and 3 FigJam files per project). You will need to move or archive files to resume editing.

How do I cancel an Organization or Enterprise plan?

Self-serve cancellation is not available for Organization or Enterprise plans. You must contact Figma's support team directly via the in-app help widget or their contact form to cancel.

Can I reactivate my Professional plan after cancelling?

Yes. You can upgrade back to a paid plan at any time from the same Admin > Settings > Plan section by selecting a new plan and entering payment details.

Who is allowed to cancel the subscription?

Only team owners and administrators have access to the Admin console and cancellation options. Regular members do not see the billing or plan settings.

Open the File Browser

Go to figma.com and log in. In the left sidebar of the File Browser, locate the team you want to cancel (e.g., your Professional team name).

Click Admin

Click the 'Admin' option that appears beneath the team name in the left sidebar. This opens the team's Admin console. Note: only team owners and admins see this option.

Open the Settings tab

Inside the Admin console, click the 'Settings' tab at the top of the page.

Find the Plan section

Scroll down to the 'Plan and billing' section. You will see your current plan name and next renewal date displayed here.

Click 'Cancel plan'

Click the 'Cancel plan' link or button within the Plan and billing section to begin the cancellation flow.

Select a cancellation reason

A dialog appears asking why you are cancelling. Select the most appropriate reason from the dropdown menu, then click 'Continue Cancellation'.

Confirm cancellation

Click the 'Finish Cancellation' button to complete the process. Your team will remain on the Professional plan until the end of the current billing period, then automatically downgrade to the free Starter plan.
