Will my pages break after I cancel?

If you downgrade to the Free plan, your live pages remain active and editable — nothing breaks. If you fully uninstall the app, pages may break due to missing scripts and CDN assets. GemPages recommends using their import/export feature to back up your designs before uninstalling.

Can I get a refund after cancelling?

GemPages offers a 30-day money-back guarantee on Build, Optimize, and Enterprise plans. To request a refund, you must first uninstall the app, then contact support at support@gempages.help or via the in-app live chat. The billing team reviews requests within 3–5 business days. After 30 days, refunds are only considered for major service failures.

Will I be charged after I cancel?

If you downgrade to the Free plan before your current billing cycle ends, no further charges occur. You may receive a prorated credit for unused days. If you uninstall mid-cycle, you are still billed for that cycle but not subsequent ones. Because billing is managed by Shopify, contact GemPages support if unexpected charges appear after cancellation.

Can I reactivate my paid plan after cancelling?

Yes. If you downgraded to the Free plan, you can upgrade back to a paid plan at any time from within the GemPages Dashboard. If you uninstalled the app, you would need to reinstall it from the Shopify App Store and then select a paid plan.

What happens to my data after I uninstall?

Personal and sensitive data is queued for deletion 48 hours after uninstallation. All account data and pages are fully erased after 3 months. Images hosted on GemPages CDN are moved to a slower CDN after 3 months. If you downgrade to the Free plan instead, your data is retained.

Open GemPages Dashboard

Log in to your Shopify store and open the GemPages app from your Shopify Admin Apps section to access the GemPages Dashboard.

Access Account Settings

Click 'Account' in the top-right corner of the GemPages Dashboard, then select 'Account Settings' from the dropdown menu.

View Available Plans

Click 'See plans' to open the plan selection page. Alternatively, you can click the 'Upgrade Plan' button in the bottom-left corner of the dashboard to reach the same plans page.

Select the Free Plan

On the plans page, locate and click the Free plan option. This downgrades your subscription and stops future billing without removing the app.

Confirm the Downgrade

Confirm the plan change when prompted. Your paid subscription ends and the Free plan activates immediately. You will receive a prorated credit for unused days in your current billing cycle.

Alternative: Uninstall via Shopify Admin

If you want to fully remove GemPages, go to Shopify Admin → Settings → Apps and sales channels → find 'GemPages Builder' → click 'More' → select 'Uninstall' and confirm. Note: this may cause your live pages to break due to missing scripts and CDN assets.
