Can I access my store after cancelling?

After cancelling your paid plan, access to your Swell dashboard and store features will be limited or removed depending on the plan. Swell does not publicly document a grace period, so export all data before cancelling.

Will I get a refund for unused time?

No. Swell's Terms of Service explicitly state that all fees are non-refundable and there are no credits or refunds for partial months of service, upgrades, or unused months.

Can I reactivate my store after cancelling?

Yes. If you used the 'Pause' option instead of full cancellation, you can resume your store at any time from Settings → Account. If you fully cancelled, you would need to sign up again and contact Swell support.

How do I fully delete my Swell account and data?

Full store deletion is not self-serve. You must contact Swell support and provide your store ID. Their engineering team performs the manual deletion because the store ID is integrated across their systems.

Log in to your Swell dashboard

Go to app.swell.store and sign in with your Swell account credentials.

Open Settings

In the left-hand navigation, click on 'Settings' at the bottom of the sidebar.

Go to Account

Within Settings, click on the 'Account' tab to open your billing and plan details.

Click 'Change' next to your current plan

In the 'Current Plan' section, click the 'Change' button. Swell does not have a dedicated 'Cancel' button — cancellation is handled through the plan change flow.

Select cancellation or free tier

In the plan selection screen that appears, look for a downgrade or cancel option. Select the option to cancel your subscription or move to a free/inactive state. Confirm your selection when prompted.

Alternatively, contact Swell support

If you cannot complete cancellation through the plan change flow, contact Swell via the in-dashboard chat (available on paid plans) or through swell.is/contact. Reference the Terms of Service which states cancellation must use the 'online Company Software account cancellation forms.'

Export your store data before cancelling

Before finalizing cancellation, export any store data, product listings, customer records, and order history you need to retain. Swell does not publicly document a data retention period after cancellation, so export everything beforehand.
